1. What we collect

Punished collects minimal data to provide its features:

• Online play: When you create or join a room, your chosen display name, avatar, and online status are stored temporarily in our database (Firebase Realtime Database) for the duration of the session. This data is automatically deleted when the room expires or is closed.
• Local preferences: Your settings, custom prompts, punishments, profile data, and game preferences are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
• Purchases: Subscription and purchase data is managed by RevenueCat and processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store payment information.
• Advertising: If you consent to personalized ads, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. If you decline, only contextual (non-personalized) ads are shown. You can change this preference at any time in Settings.

2. How we use your data

• To enable online multiplayer functionality
• To save your preferences and game settings locally
• To process in-app purchases and subscriptions
• To display ads (free tier only)
• To improve the app experience

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Realtime Database (Google) — online multiplayer room data
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
• Google AdMob — advertising (free tier)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

4. Data retention

• Online room data: Automatically deleted when rooms expire (5 minutes of host inactivity) or when the room is closed.
• Local data: Stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear data via Settings.
• Purchase history: Managed by Apple/Google and RevenueCat according to their retention policies.

5. Children's privacy

Punished contains optional 18+ content modes. The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. The 18+ content modes require explicit confirmation that all players are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Change your ad preferences at any time in Settings
• Delete all local data via the app or by uninstalling
• Request deletion of any data associated with your use of the app
• Opt out of personalized advertising

Under GDPR (EU/EEA), you have additional rights including the right to access, rectify, and port your data.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through an app update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
